How long is the average hospital stay for a double mastectomy? - my mastectomy
I just found out yesterday that my aunt has breast cancer. I have no idea of the seriousness of the cancer. She underwent a double mastectomy today. If you have an idea of how long a hospital stay is that? Thank you very much.

I try to remember how long I was, I think it was for 2 nights, but I'm sure. I think you and your family today and hope for the best.

Normally only 2 or 3 days while it heals well.
I was 4 nights with a simple mastectomy was my doctor with a big dungeon proponit women to the hospital as possible and do not send me home before I really finished. (There were 2 children under 4 years at home, but I think it was also taken into account!)
